I was on the old LRO forum although last few years not very much on same name but was registered on here and after one post forgot all about it which is why it oddly says i am a new member despite being 2007. I run a series 3 2.25 petrol 88 ex mil which if you watch BBC EMT might have seen with Leics and Rutland 4x4 response towing truck up hills in Rutland in the snow
she is a rare beast being one of the last years with the 109 upgraded front and rear drums brakes and metric flexible hose fittings post 1981 but was out the military on a Q plate by 1987 The odd bit is she was twin tank fitted with convoy 6 way mil lights and infra red kill switch fitted, with hard top but had a diesel on VIN when she left Lode lane and still has evidence such as vacuum reservoir, glow plug resistor and had diesel mounts which i changed At some point before i got her that was changed for the 2.25 petrol 12 volts but she is registered petrol with DVLA so who knows. She also got registered in 87 on wrong VIN!! luckily typo on logbook in 87 discovered when computer MOT station records came out few years back and DVLA corrected as it showed as USA export V8 Rangerover!!
