Been told about a series 3 ex army landy that have arranged to see on weds eve.

Question is ....as it was built in 1973 and if in right month then does that mean its tax free ?
It now wears a 1979 age related plate ie when it left army.

So is it tax free or 1979 year taxable?

Cheers

Technically it should have. 1973 plate on it as the date of manufacture not when it left the army. Going on that logic my 1991 plate 90 would be a 13 plate lol

I have a 1966 series 2a with 1976 plate, shows the age and states "historic vehicle" on the log book, how do I go about getting an age related plate ?
Sorry for going slightly off topic but will probably be of assistance to OP !

Send off all the info to the dvla and request an age related plate.

When they aren't sure of the age the dish out a Q plate. If you have documentary evidence of build date then that's fine.

Go down your local dvla office and ask. Oh wait the dicks on govt closed them Grrr
