Evoke ...any good?

It's a guilty pleasure of mine that I do like the shape and look of the Evoke. What LR should have done is given it a 5 litre V8 option, like a Bowler ;)... and a NATO green paintjob!

They are OK for what they are, a stylish soft roader which keeps British workers employed.

Bit small inside, but handle quite well and go quite well.

Better to buy one than a Audi TiT, or VW flower holder Beetle.

Definately aimed at the better off wife.

BUT

I much prefer my Discovery 2!

Could have sworn there where two gens! Maybe a facelift version?

Im sure I read in one of the landy mags last year the new Evoque would be based of the RR Sport?
Ejoke is based on the FL2 I think the new Disco Sport may just be an Ejoke in a new frock:rolleyes:
The RR Sport is much bigger, there is one parked in or local supermarket.

Not got one, but followed one on an off road day I went on. It impressed me with its ability (though it would be useless when the electrickery fails). No ground clearance means it useless in ruts.

Just curious to know if anyone's got one and if they are an ok vehicle ...see loads around here , are they just a poor mans RR or worth having a serious look at?:)

The boot looks small, not sure you'd fit a couple of labs in there!

Style over substance mainly - I tend to get given one when the D4 is in for service.

Fun Prevention Officer has had 2 x F2's which were good bits of kit but now not as 'of the moment' as the posh version. They can do the off road stuff but visibility from inside is dire...
