Aye it's ok constructive criticisim of Gaylanders is acceptable here. I've tried telling em for ages that there all a heap of crap and they'd be better of getting shot of em. but it doesn't seem to be getting thru.

mates got a 1.8 petrol it,s cost him a grand in repairs so far in 12mths

And have you asked yourself why he's so keen to buy your car for more than it is worth?? Could it perhaps be because he's desperate to get rid of the heap of junk he's brought??? You have been told by people who know what there talking about that getting a petrol freelander is like staking all your money on one bet at a roulette table yes you could get lucky and win big but there's far more chance of losing the lot. it isn't just freelanders the K series Petrol engine went in to other MG/ Rover cars and their forums are also full of people withdead engines and empty bank accounts. Do your self a favour get a DISCO. At least if they go wrong you won't have to sell a kidney to pay for the repairs.
