Just thought I'd introduce myself as I hope to be an active member of the forum. Today I've just bought an '02 TD5 ES Auto and I'm sure I'll have some questions.... I'll try and post some pics tomorrow.
It's not my first delve into LR territory, I had a Disco 1 (H51 KPU) for a year or so about 5 years back. Brilliant truck, if more than a little battered. 170k on the clock and only every broke once with a worn diff.
After that I disappeared on a high octane journey which included a Subaru WRX Prodrive and an e39 M5 (totally fantastic car). Somehow I managed to come through that with my licence intact, but my wallet thoroughly ravaged
Anyway, this truck will be seeing a little off-road duties and I can't wait. I'm not in the least mechanical minded but I'm hoping to be able to manage a few jobs on this one.... however, if someone can recommend a specialist around the Chelmsford/Stansted (Essex) area I'd be very grateful
