Hi, we have just purchased a 110 defender 300 tdi, 1997 model. I have talked to our insurance company about our immobilizer, we have 2. One the LRO one and one called Eureka. I have to find out which model, but I don't know nothing about them. The insurance people told me that they have in the system only one type, called 24/2004. Is it mean anyone anything? Do you know how can I find out about the model type?
I'd appreciate your answer.

Do you meet up, doing things together or is is just a genuine discussion group?
Looking forward to hearing from you, Petra

:welcome2: Firstly you should think about introducing yourself in the Introduce Yourself section. Photos aren't essential despit Grimmer's request.

This may help regarding your Eureka immobiliser Land Rover - Vehicle Manufacturers Original Equipment - Bridgwater Electronics Somerset | Car Alarms., including why it was fitted. I can't help you with the model fitted to the '97 Defender, but I'm sure some one will be along shortly who may.

As far as this group is concerned, if you look in some of the other sections you will find that some members meet up for social gatherings; attend greenlane events together; even participate in weekends of mud and debauchery; as well as helping each other out. Before posting in those sections you should edit your profile to include your location - town will do, as full name and address will only be required once the forum lechers get to work.

Finally, as a word of friendly warning, do not enter into the Anything Goes section if you are of a delicate disposition. As well a grimy finger nails and full body tatooes, the resident gnarly old Land Rover enthusiasts in there eat newbies for breakfast. Welcome again to the slightly crazy Landy Zone - the asbo of Land Rover forums in the UK.

P.S. Don't worry about being female - there are a number of women members of the LZ forum. Helpful for making the sandwiches and washing up afterwards. You may find it lonely at first as I think they're all still out flying after hallowe'en. :behindsofa:
