Hi, I'm Keith and currently living in Loftus, Cleveland
I've just re-entered the world of landrovers with the purchase of a jap spec 1999 300tdi xs auto, so have joined this seemingly friendly and knowlegable site ready to ask lots of questions so my apologies in advance if any are stupid

Underneath the chassis and mechanicals are in great condition, including the inner steel body shell but the outer paint is bubbling up and flaking everywhere so will need doing (on a budget lol)

This is my other runabout:

I'm no stranger to land rovers but i still have loads to learn, Just for interest here are some of my previous ones I've owned a few years ago

Judging by your previous vehicles, you may not be asking that many questions

My Disco 2 is my first Land Rover product, of any kind, ever, at least you've had a few Green ovals.

as with my previous ones I never seemed to have the same problems twice :doh:

its close, I actually live in Liverton mines but nobody tends to know where that is

, moved here about 6 weeks ago due to getting a job at the potash mine.
I'm from northumberland originally but have spent the last 8 years living in nuneaton so really glad to be getting back oop north again

welcome to loonyzone bud.i thought the 99 year disc's had the td5 engine fitted,not a 300 tdi.????

The 300Tdi remained in production in Brazil, and was offered as an option on rest of world (non-UK/Europe) models. Following Ford's acquisition of Land Rover in 2000, the engine was used in Brazilian-built Ford pick-up trucks as well.[12] Increasing emissions laws worldwide and falling sales led to production of the 300Tdi ending in 2006
