Hi,
I have owned my disco 3(07plate) for 4 years now and have had pretty much no issues at all so far in her life, even though she has gone cross country and overland in norway etcetc. plus putting on 67k miles in this time!!!!
In all this time I have only had her remapped for fuel consumption, she now does 531 miles on a full tank of juice on the motorway at a steady 80mph. She has had tyres, discs and pads oil etc. Until last week.
epb started screeching, so i downloaded bodsys brake bible, then it decided to stick on. I tried to pull the cable, no hope. in the end I used a landy garage near Shepton Mallet, Normans. They came out, freed off the epb, took apart the module and freed the clutch internally so no need to replace it, then replaced my old shoes(they had cracked) and a caliper which was seized on; new wheel nuts and then I was away again. All for the sum of £600.
A massive saving considering LR stealers in yeovil quoted 1200 for a replacement module and reset service for the epb.
So this post is just to say hi and also thanks for the garage saving me tons of dosh.
ps, I LOVE my disco3!!!!!!!

Well worth adjusting the EPB shoes annually takes 15 mins a side max, 8 clicks from memory.
Genuine shoes are 100 an axle set, callipers are about 50/60 quid, the brakes are proper simple sliding callipers just like any other modern car on the road.
