Epb dashboard light does not show up at all when turn key or when applying or disengaging, I have tested EPD lever and it does work but it's guess work if it's on or off as no Red P light on dash showing.

Is it a simple fuse?
Is it a MOT fail if no light showing?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Range rover sport 3.6TD V8 2007.

Have you checked if the Has the bulb blown.

brianp38dse you never understand how I appreciate to get any answer, I did think this and hoping it would be, my next question is how can I replace it, can I get to it and test it myself or does it need specialist tools. Last time I ever took a console out was on a terrano.

Once again thanks brianp38dse

Sorry I am not that clued up on newer models, others on here are hopefully someone else will come along with more info.

Hey there, can you hear the epb operating? (Handbrake for most):p
If its operating and holding the car then it may well be a bulb.
If it isn't operating and there are no warning lights you may need to have the car looked at with diagnostics to verify the ecu is working for the epb!!o_O

Thanks for your response.
I can confirm it's working tested on steep hill applied epb and heard it and released the footbrake at held firm, nothing shows up on the dash to confirm it's on or off.
Is it easy to change the bulb or is there a fuse linked to the Epb light that could be blown.

Thanks mark.

Once again thanks,

Wee bit fiddly but I feel confident in taking on the task. My only reluctance is more errors when disconnecting the cable.

Scrap what I've just said as I decided to look and see if he covered anything else on bulb and blinking hell it's not easy for a big fingers I have plus looking at the video it looks like soldiered Led's not push in bulbs I've been used to in the past and seeing the prodding with dials is guess work as you never see end result.

Thanks past the test, waffled to him while doing the brake tests, then I had to go and sit and watch while on ramp notice him had to climb in again as he must wanted handbrake on but obviously no confirmation light, carried on with his inspection, drove off ramp noticed him beaking and releasing and staring at dashboard but got out thumbs up and another 12 months MOT. He must have seen message apply brake to release handbrake on screen and happy with that.
