Entertainment system help

Afternoon all, I have a freelander 2, 2013 2.2 HSE. I've had it about 2 years, one thing that bugs me ,on the entertainment system it supposedly has dvd capability and video option. Does anyone know if this works and how do you make it work. It doesn't play dvds, I've plugged phones and tablets in via the the USB slot in the centre console, nothing. if it doesn't work why have it on there. The Bluetooth and phone work fine if that's any help. tried searching for tutorials on YouTube as normal but all they show is how to replace the unit and none of them look mine to start lol.

Have you put a shop bought disk in or a copy? You can change the source of audio from the menu.
I don't think it will play video. Never seen that as an option.
