First off i will say this is not a land rover.

I have converted my electronically fuelled 1.9 tdi engine in my vw caddy to run from a 300tdi mechanical injection pump.

Now it worked fine two days ago (and has done for the past 4 months since the conversion), with no signs of struggling or starting problems, but now i just cant get her to start.

I have fuel at the filter, shut off solenoid works fine, battery's good, cranks over good, just no fuel is coming into the pump from what i can see.
What could of gone wrong to stop it getting fuel?

Cheers in advance.

on the 300 there is a lift pump to pull fuel from tank and through filter into pump. is it the same on the vw? i know of some ppl that put an electric pump too as the origional is mechanical.

when my lift pump went bust she would still start etc but needed more then 1/4 tank full and also wouldn't go up a hill unless in reverse as gravity would help.

hope this helps!
