Hi,
I have recently bought a 2003 Freelander TD4 2 litre diesel. I may have an issue with the engine temperature.
According to the temp gauge, it is warming up from cold fairly quickly but only to about 3/4 of fully warm. I believe once at normal operating temp the gauge should sit in the middle but mine almost never gets there unless is left idling in traffic for a long time. If it does eventually reach the 12 o'clock position on the gauge, if you are driving at any speed, the gauge moves back to about 10 o'clock.
Is this normal or should it sit at 12 o'clock and stay there?
Many thanks
Rob
