Hello again, been awhile since I've last posted here.
So the title says it all, yesterday my 1999 2.0 di Freelander engine shuts down while driving. Engine shuts down completely and along with it all dashboard lights turn off too.
Remove key, insert key, turn, all dash boards light up, crank, engine starts fine and off i go, luckily home was just around the corner.
One thing that from time to time happens is when inturn the key the engine doesn't start. Remove the key and insert it again and it start or sometimes doesn't start and at a third try it starts right up.
Might the engine stop while driving and this start/no start thing have anything to do with a bad ignition switch ?
