Engine Problem

Hi Guys ..

Well i have a engine problem started yesterday over-took a sunday driver that was out on a friday .. Then just started to make loads of noise and lose a bit of power took it to a garage yesterday and a engine guy that does recon engines from over the road from the garage had a look and he thinks it's the turbo the guy at the garage had a look today too and said he will take the turbo of to see if it still makes the noise ..

But he is not 100% sure

Tonight went out to asda 3 mile round trip after a miles noise got louder and no power it will move just and the noise coming from it is very very loud ... sounds like from the turbo area .. AA came out to recover it and he seems to think it's the pistons / noise coming from the block

Could it be the pistons there is no smoke no oil lost and will start first time
All the pipes are fine ...

Need to know what to do new turbo sounds easy fix pistons sounds big cash and big job ... Thx

At guess i would say you have killed it big time, if it was just dead turbo the thing would still drive just be as flat as a fart and struggle to get over 40/50 downhill.
Im surprised you actually drove it with a known engine fault!
Turbos do make funny noises when they grenade but knocking sounds like engine is scrap.
Second hand engine time ebay.
Wast of time trying to rebuild your old one as theres bound to be more problems once in pieces.
