I have been offered a 200tdi 90, my 90 has a new chassis and bulkhead, new axles & brakes, all that stuff so I was thinking of taking the engine & gearbox and associated parts out of the 200tdi 90 and putting it in mine, then putting my 2.5N/A and associated parts into the previously 200tdi 90.

That could be done in a weekend couldn't it? At the very least get my 90 ready for Mon morning. With the rad out and the grille off I can bring the engine/gerabox right out can't I?

P.S. Anyone want a 2.5N/A 90 in about a Month?

I'm doing the same thing. I've already got my engine in the ad's which is coming out on tuesday. I've got three days off work to get it done. I've done my home work and people are saying 36 hours. Will let you know how long it takes. It's got to be done just for the saving on derv.

I've got so much stuff to take with me to the yard. The camera is the last thing on my list, but it has to be done.
It's part of a engine swop !

It takes 4-5 hours to take the same engine out and put it back in again running, so allow some time for bolting on other parts... It took me about 4-5 full days to do my disco transplant, and i had to get bits and make other bits up too.

I might go take the gearbox and engine out this weekend then - rebuild the engine this week and get the gearbox sent to ashcrofts.

I am doing the same but at a much steadyer pace, got the disco engine and transfer box in. whatch out for the hidden bolts and dowls discomania, mine was a bitch to split.

I'll pm ya in a bit with that info ya want ;)

Hopefully i'm all ready !
One thing i don't have at the moment are oil pipes but pirtek can make them for me.
The bloke that i'm doing it with does it for a living, so i'm hoping it won't take long ( will let you know by the end of the week )
Him and his mate have series 1's with 200tdi in them, so i think he knows his stuff !
