engine oil to use with 200 TDi land rover

dear land rover fans,

i do have a question: I'm restoring a land rover with a 200 TDi engine, from 1994. now I came to the part of renewing the oil. I was at my local garage and they gave me 15W40 API CC oil. after some research at the internet I saw that the API CC oil couldn't be used with every turbo-diesel engine. so I asked myself if I'm given the wrong oil? in the manual is set API CE oil. should I return the oil and get some other one? which one then of-course? (the bi-turbo 15W40 API SL/CF ?)

Just put in what the manual says innit. I like 15w40 semi synthetic.
