Engine oil cooler

Hi

Is there anyway you can tell if the engine oil cooler on a 4.6 petrol has failed or blocked and can you clean them out with a flush or brake cleaner or do i have to purchase a new one ( and no its not leaking )

Apologies i have a diesel..

But, i would thought that you could feel it to see if it gets warm... Or if the lines are warm up to it but the cooler is cold..

Could try cracking off the lines and seeing what comes out of it..

Cant see why you couldnt flush it through, but would be surprised if its getting bunged up...
