How long had you used easy start ? That would mask your starting problems

Only used it twice about 4 weeks ago as old glow plugs were giving up.
Tried the engine this morning still not cranking at all not even a splutter - the lever on the lift pump is not giving much resistance either - must be very bad timing with the lift pump going at the same time as the service! How easy are there to swap over?

UPDATE
So it turns out it was the starter motor??? Been swapped out and working okay now but the boost noise is suddenly a lot louder when accelorating.
The intercooler noises havent been taken off so not sure this would start, it was more of a boost whistle before but now its a lot louder...
