engine management light

HI
My engine management light keeps coming on while im driving and it stops the revs, i was told to blank off the EGR valve which i did, but it only worked for a week or so, any ideas on what is causing this??

No my crystal ball is on strike so I don't know what your driving- get the fault code read
Oh and if it is a td5 consider fuel pumps,injector washers, oil in the loom common faults.
start with ignition off and check ecu plugs as your bound to have oil in it and want new injector loom

ecu is under drivers seat- make sure ignition is off and check plugs for oil, you can clean with spray brake cleaner from motor factors as it is available in aerosol form.

rinse off oil and allow it to dry throughly then refit
