Engine management light on

Hello people. Well my engine management light came on on my 1999 dse. I have changed the maf and it's still on. I have been told I may need this resetting. But before I do that is they any way I can reset it or is there ne thing else I need to check.

Would have been a good idea to get the codes read before throwing cash at it. Them at least you will know why the MIL is on.
