My EML is coming on when I am going up an incline and then Freelander goes into limp mode. Recently I have changed the turbocharger after the turbofilter blocked and turbo blew. After about a week or two of burning off the residual oil after the turbo change the light started to come on. What are the possible causes? I tried disconnecting the MAF sensor but the other yellow light Emissions came on permenant and went off after a day of driving with it reconnected.

could be a semi blocked cat have seen it before when a turbo has let go oil contamination. Does the light also come on when at higher speeds on the flat.
I would just drop the cat off knock the guts out of it and replace, you will not do any harm and will not cost anything to try and if solves issue then bingo.
I have been running one with the cat degutted for last 3 years and has passed mot no problem.

At lunch time today put in common rail diesel cleaner into a 1/4 full tank. Took the 12 miles drive home from work and no light coming on. Tried simulating conditions when light came on before, like accelerating slowly and small inclines steady acceleration. But no lighty. Will post update if no light after tomorrow or after. So if stays off it must have been injectors me thinks.

4 days, increasing starting problems til wouldn't start at all, then started 3 hours later and then EML on again, noisey fuel pump and wouldn't start again, changing fuel pump next week
