Hello all
I have have the following:
A 1984 lightweight with a 2.25 petrol leaf spring etc. All standard Lightweight stuff. The Suspension is all dead, the engine doesn't start and the chassis needs work.
1992 Disco 200tdi rolling chassis. Engine, gearbox, transfer box and axles.
My question is has anyone combined the 2 together. I can find coil sprung lightweights but no info on how the conversion was carried out. I can find alot of info on doing the engine swap on s2/3.
I was thinking the best option would be to cut the disco chassis down to 88 and fit the lightweight body on to the modded chassis. I think i would have to mod the body mounts to
Am i heading on the right lines??
Final product would be for daily use plus rtv's and playdays. Not so much laning as the disco takes care of this.
