I've got a 2000 plate td5 with a dead engine (I pushed my luck one day too far trying to finish a job) So I now have dead disco, am bidding on an engine on ebay. I know of a few PITA points, like one of the fixings on the bell housing
and the bastard bolt on the starter motor....
My question is, anyone near Chard Somerset willing to help/offer guidance/advice - I've done cylinder heads never a complete engine.
I have cash and plenty of apples about to be converted to the amber nectar.
My usual helpful mechanic admits he's never done a disco before...I think he meant the td5. If anyone has any useful tips or knows someone nearby that would be willing/able to help for a fair price would be epic help, thanks.
