hey all, just to say hello to every one, you got another first time owner here who's not 100% sure what hes doing under the bonnet

bit about me, only just started driving so i'm one of the young ones that every one hates on the road, into my target shooting with full bore live rifles i modify/sell/service/repair them for a living, if im not working on a gun i'll be trying to work on my landy,

any tips on how to make a series 3 better. please let me have them ... wouldnt mind putting a 200 tdi up front or is it not wise??

oh and apparently i look like the "honey monster" hence the name and every one knows me as hm now

Dave, my series 3 has a 200tdi in it. She's amazing now! No longer do I have a queue of milkfloats in my mirrors ;)
You'll also need either Rangie axles or a new transfer box to cope with the new engine, otherwise you'll run out of revs at 45mph. I got a transfer box from Ashcroft transmissions - the low range is the same but high range is bigger to give you decent on-road speeds.

DO IT! (as the Pink Fairies once said)

im thinking of been a bit cheeky and possibly puttinga 300 tdi in it .. then the word over kill comes to mind lol

i need to save more funds up as i spent more then i can afford today  .. so project is on hold for a little while .... i might be selling one of my baby's to get the money for doing my landy up good and proper but thats i if can bring my self to part with a baby

Hello! Just found the website today! I'm 18 currently at uni but like all you guys love the landies! Just got myself an ex police defender 90 and am also trying to sell a series IIa ex army land rover ambulance which I did some travelling in last year. Anyone in the Wiltshire area?
Does anyone know how to add pictures? Cheers

there is only one way to make a series 3 better and that is to trade it in as scrap and get a series 2 or 2A.
may the green oval be with you.
