knid of new to this post thingy...sooo....bare with...

wondered if any of you could help?...

i have an 03 freeland 1.8 with 38000...has just had the cambelt/aux belt and the modified head gasket fitted and the thermostat was checked....problem is i've only done approx 500 miles/3 weeks driving and im losing coolant!!!
checked the level today and had to top up a little...no obvious signs of leaks/steam when hot...checked the oil and no probs there...however there is a silght coolant smell in the cab when driving...any ideas would be great guys :)

Hi Tyvek

Welcome to the forum. I hope you have a thick skin and a sense of humour? being a freelander owner you might need it more than most. You are better off asking in the freelander forum. It's near the bottom on the home page.

Standard reply here, get a garage to do a pressure test of the coolant system to check for leaks & also a "sniff" test to rule out the head gasket.
Sounds like a leak at the heater matrix is possible.
