Electronic Ignition

Does anyone have experience with electronic ignition systems for a Series III? I tried the Petronix unit, it worked good, but it did not last very long. Any suggestions?

I stuck a simon bbc kit on my ducelier dizzy about 6 months ago it's been spot on. Starts on the button and runs sweet and for £60 including a Lucas gold coil can't complain. Have to wait and see about longevity. If you got the cash lumention are the best but I couldn't justify £200 personally

Same I have a simon bbc one. Complete disy option. A year now with original coil all good

I fitted Lumenition to mine. Didn't last long though. After 3 months the main box died, that was replaced under guarantee, and just out of guarantee the optic sensor died. So it went in the bin, went back to points and condenser. I paid £133 for 13 months use.
