Hi all, my previously100% reliable 90 has broken down!
The dizzy cap and points are shot so my fault!
Is there a recognised 'best' electronic ignition conversion that I should look for?
Cheers.
Paul.

Lumenition are probably the best, but you will have to fit the unit to your own distributor.
Accuspark are pretty good too, and they supply a complete electronic distributor for less money than a Lumenition unit.
I would avoid the 50 quid cheapies altogether.

I suspected the £30-£40 ones were going to be below par..
I saw lumenation while I was looking through but haven't seen Accuspark so will have a look now.

I've used Luminition on 4 and 8 cyl landys - well made and easy to install. Not cheap, but it did make them easier to start and performed flawlessly over years of use. Definitely more weather resistant that points too, and there's no wear as it's an optical system.

I xan confirm the Accuspark kit is really easy to fit!
Without access to a timing light I soon got the old girl running again, as it turned out many degrees out but still ran.
Just the squeeling alternator, noisy water pump, blown middle exhaust, fuel guage sender and rust to sort out now!

I’ve got Accuspark fitted to my Lightweight. Easy to fit & no problems with it in last 5 years. Had luminition fitted to my 74 Lotus Elan. That’s more complicated to fit
