Electrickery help??? .... right as im tight and don't want to fork out for a battery for the 110 I am planning on using the two new halfrauds matching batteries I kept from my lightweight (was 24 volt)

they are 70 amp hour 565 cold cranking amps each so question is if wired in parallel (ie 12 volt output) does this mean I end up with....

140 amp hour battery with only 565 CCA???

70 amp hour battery with 1130 CCA????

140 amp hour battery with 1130 CCA????

Electrickery is witchcraft I tell you .....

cheers steve

You will, in theory have a 140 amp hour battery with 1130 CCA ... as long as they are a matched pair.

However, in reality you will get more like 120 AH with around 1000 CCA if they are in parallel, as they will discharge at slightly different rates.

..... and check, double check, and triple check you have them in parallel before you turn anything on.........

And make sure lots of warnings/precautions to make sure anyone else that tinkers does so too........

(sorry - grandma....eggs.... just had this mental image of instant fried Land Rover......:D)
