you should have seen the bulkhead and chassis that were hidden, and i paid 2800 for it with a 19j in it 2 years ago...

Lessons learnt in full here!!

Slowly getting through the faults but the chassis can only be patched up so much before i need to replace it.

Wounder..... I thought I'd done a really good job on patching up my chassis but then I had a fight with a telegraph pole on the way to work one morning and the jury is still out on who won:eek: My nice chassis now has a kink in it and I've had to but an adjustable panhard rod to compensate:( One the plus side I did meet the farmer who's phone line I'd just cut off and he just laughed

Check this out.... My chassis was "never welded" he said...

it had been welded in places and filled over so i couldnt see it..

Its a rights of passage.

I paid 2000 with a 19j 5 years ago :)

Now it has a 200tdi and a bulkhead not made of expanding foam :)

your bulkhead was made of expanding foam also?... cool not just mine!!

Yeh the chassis and wiring and bulkhead and engine were gash but oh well...

Engine has been done for a 200tdi, bulkhead has a td5 one now with full td5 dash, wiring will be sorted as soon as i can be arsed and then chassis is a big one, i took it all back to what was left of the metal then patched it last year, it passed an mot, ill see how it goes lol.

That chassis looked fooked! My heart would sink if I uncovered that lot, my missus would then proceed to rip out said heart and stamp on it, she gets annoyed if I have to fork out for a new bulb, let alone being faced with that!

yeh covered in filler it was a right good bodge... a mate of mine kept telling me tho go drive it through his front room of his house but that aint me, its getting sorted bit by bit and at some point hopefully it wont be too problematic lol. ill post some more pics once the wiring is fixed

Yeh it passes each year lol I dunno how but it does. Found another little crack the other day so that's another relate lol. My mates say I have a wolf 90 because it's so armour plated.... Pricks lol

Must be a common thing, lets bodge the f*** out of the chassis loom
I had to hack at my chassis one to get it out
think the guy liked scotch locks, I would like to meet him again and kick him in the bollocks:mad:)

Haha. You'd atleast use a few choice words with them wouldn't you...

I wouldn't mind so much if he was an honest seller. I never sell anything unless I'd be willing to pay the same money myself...

Oh well. It's fixed and the wings are back on now... Dash is nearly fully in. Just my indicators that don't work at all but I've got to sort the earth's out on the rear ect.

" I never sell anything unless I'd be willing to pay the same money myself"

this ....

i sold a frontera that had been in a front end crash as spares or repairs for 300 quid on the basis that the wheels were worth 300 quid.

some days later i see it on facebook for sale for 1200 quid.

i see it on the road now and again and on the same facebook page i saw someone asking how to stop vibration at 50mph. I sent him the photos of the damage prior to repair. he wasnt a happy bunny.

on a plus side - i bought the remains of greyhairs dash and engine loom. he described it as good but not perfect ..... It was BRILLIANT :D made my life so easy.

Mine did something similar, I found that 2 wires had rubbed through, feed to indicators left and right, so no matter which way I indecated it flashed both sides, it was near my rear towing electrics,

Take your side light bulb out and test from the switch to ground on the chassis, you should have no continuity to ground, or test from wire to wire ie indecator to side light with the bulbs out to see if they touching
