Electric Window Problem

Hiya

wonder if you can help, 02 facelift TD5 Disco, drivers elec window goes own but does not stop. It seems to clunk..

What causes it stop normally, is it a microswitch or something else.

Any help greatly appreciated

would appear that your switch is sticking when operated
will it go up ??

It goes up and down fine, it just doesnt stop when it gets to the bottom, I have temporarily stuck some wood in the base of the door so it cant go down any further, what I really need to know is what stops the window going down beyond its lowest position in normal operation.

most are timed on a relay, but some have a cut off switch so when it gets to a certain point it cuts the motor
take the doorcard off and have a look
o peel the plastic cover off aswel

Hi again, thanks, the moulding and plastic have been off many times....

if there no cut off then must be a relay
u got i wiering diagram ?? as td5s are a maze...youll be better off with a wiering diagram then you can see whats what
