Electric window knackered.

I have 300tdi auto with electric windows. Yestday it stuck down i have removed all the door trim and bit and found the ractacket was not engaging at bootom of travel. Now the ratched has dropped off.

I have checked the haynes manuel which shows how to remove glass and motor but does not show where the toothed sprocket fitts.

What aprt do i need and any idea instructions on how to fit it.

Does not appear to be part of the motor or the rising mechanism.

usually what has gone wrong is that the window regulator (scissor like mech) has dropped apart if this is the case look on e-bay for a new one DO NOT GO TO THE MAIN STEALER do however take careful note as to the vin number which their ad quotes as the mech and motor changed approx 1995 and will not interchange ie glass motor and regulator early 300 are different from late 300 and dont interchange also the wiring plug is different for the motor. on e-bay the best value i found was island 4x4 less than half the main stealers price and delivered in 2 or three days
