Electric window fault

I have a problem with my fns electric window on my 300tdi Disco. When the window gets to the bottom of its travel there is a load clonk clonk clonk niose from the door (motor still trying to wind the window down?).

The window travels in the normal way, it is not slanted or problematical in any way other than that described.

What I need to know is what stops the window motor when the window is fully wound down, is it something in the motor or some kind of relay elswhere as I dont have the cash to spare buying the wrong bits!

take the door card off and have a look.
can be a loose window chanel.

there's a rubber stop on the window motor to stop it going down more than what it should.

I've just had exactly the same thing happen on my 300TDi.
One of the arms was bent and was hitting the inside of the door frame as it went up and down. This was caused by incorrect fitting of the window mechanism. It finally failed totally when the pressure forced the 3 spot welds to break on the arm with the teeth (not sure what the proper name is).
Take the door card off and operate the window to see whats happening.
Replacing the window mechanism isn't difficult just a little awkward and you should be able to get one from a breakers.
Be aware though that there are 2 types for the 300TDi.

Thanks for the replies guys I have taken the door card off as suggested and all appears to be fine, the actuators are not bent or catching anywhere and the runners are true.

When the window gets right to the bottom of its travel (on one touch wind down for example) instead of the motor just stopping as the other windows do it keeps on going and there is a clunk clunk clunk noise coming from it which continues untill you press the "up" window switch to stop the motor. I dont know how the mechanism "turns off" the motor when the window is fully wound down but I think that that (whatever it is) is the problem.

Can anyone help me out?
