well had the battery disconnected today doing a bit of work and when I connected it it came up key code lock etc etc so tried the EKA nothing after 3 cock ups went and had a brew took out the other key (flash bastard that I am having two ) put it in the ignition and it started so what the feck was that all about? well at least she is running

If the car is '98 on the thing resets itself to the key when you put it in the ignition. One flash of the led as you put it in. It's the older ones that either need the left, right push button trick or the EKA code every time. (Don't get me wrong the newer ones do need their EKAs as well, sometimes). Try removing the key batteries on the original key and replacing them.
