Hi all,
I've bought myself a set of 3 gauges (boost, volts and EGT). I've got the boost and volts working just fine but the EGT has been giving me a headache.
They are cheap ones from eBay, it has a K type thermocouple.
I installed it without issue - drilled into the EGR blank.
Initially the gauge lit up but read nothing, I then found that it worked fine if I held it in my hand and heated the probe up with a heat gun, but as soon as the probe body was inserted into its holder (metal) it stopped reading - I assume it was grounding?
Does anyone know where I'm going wrong? I think I've broken it now with all my fiddling as it doesn't seem to work any more! But if I get another, I don't want to have the same problems so if anyone has any advice with these, please let me know!
