You can just fit the plate and leave the pipe work however, as long as that plate is in there that EGR valve ain't doing anything.

Made a plate and inserted it between the intercooler and valve .
Everything was cleaned and put back in situ .
A vast difference in performance as everyone has advocated.
Engine has breathed a sigh of releif,and runs /drives so much better.
Waiting to see the mpg benefit.
