Hi

I had a problem with my 04 plated TD4 Freelander which turned out to be O rings in the high pressure fuel pump (engine not starting), followed by not revving over 2,500RPM. All now fixed (O rings in HP Fuel pump for non starting and badly seated Crankshaft position sensor for not revving).

As part of my diagnostics I disconnected the vacuum hoses from the EGR Solenoid as I discovered one of them had a hole in it. There are two hoses one goes to the EGR Valve and the other to the brakes (?).

I will be changing both pipes as they are worn, my question, which pipe goes to where ? (There two connections .....)

(To help these are 4mm internal diameter, 10mm external diameter hoses).

Thanks

One to egr valve and other to vacuum tank on nearside near fuse box in engine bay. Tank is plastic cylinder with pipe to brake servo .....to help identify it.

Thanks. Does it matter which hose (on the EGR Solenoid) goes where ? IE does the vacuum tank hose go on the inner or outer connection ? Inner being the one farthest from the battery ? Or is the other way round or does it matter ?

vacuum one goes to the right on the solenoid, photo's below so long hose to the right & short hose to EGR to the left outlet on the solenoid.
