efi running too rich.

Not a rover engine but same principles..so

running far to rich on cold start and on idle when hot..also when cruising..


So...why??

First is obd1..so no plug in to lappy.butNo fault codes indicated ..
Fuel pressure is ok..
Lamda sensor??dont think so as when on gas she idles at 14.7.wont on petrol up to 13:1
Efi engine temp sensor?not sure here..but she ramps down idle speed when gets hot so dought it..
Mafm..dont think so..no fault codes..
Leaky pwtrol injector???maybe???seems to use petrol when on gas...may b imaging that though.

Can you think of anything else??


Engine is toyota quad xam v8

If it's common rail then the rail pressure regulator is the one that has come up for me, did not show on diagnostics. Again not a Rover engine, Volvo.

wish it was fpr...but thats fine..has a gauge on fuel rail..

may have found problem..ecu....reset ecu..appears to be fine..will know for sure in morning when it has a cold start..fingers crossed
