Can anyone tell me what would give best economy from my 300 tdi;
A kenlowe electric fan,or remove the cat by means of a different pipe,or fit a freeflow air filter?This is in addition to the usual stuff,checking tyre pressures,making sure air and fuel filters are clean etc.
Or perhaps someone has some other tweeks that I could try.
Thanks.:confused:

The kenlowe is a good idea but at £70 odd quid, it'll probably never pay for itself, so unless you get it for free.......

The egr is good to get shot of as is the front pipe with cat in it, the savings are small but worth it.

Not a fan of non-standard airfilters.

Tyre pressures, good driving, keep speed below 60, use a light foot.

Fans from an air conditioner version of your vehicle on a thermostat from vehicle wiring products would be a cheap kenlowe alternative,or on a switch and relay and a close eye on the temp even!

All of daves suggestions plus regular filter changes,like really often,they dont cost much if you buy the set.The non cat pipe with no flexi bit can be an absolute bugger to fit but worth doing.
