Hmmm.... you need tyre pressure monitoring in there.

Drop us a line - it's going into my truck in the next few days when
the sensors I've begged turn up.

working on blowing a seperate EPROM which sort of mirrors a Range
Rover ECU in terms of monitoring. This will probably end up connecting
via a serial intergace (unless I can find a USB interface module -
which would be kind of neat)."

Stick with serial and stick a bluetooth adaptor on the end....

I'll need to find a multi IO serial adapter then. The EPROM / ECU has
a standard serial interface on the board I'm knocking up and "I know a
person" who has the various pinouts for the existing ECU - so I reckon
that's fairly eay (real time remapping of the engine geometry). What
I'm struggling with (still, after all these years) is how to get the
various temp sensors sorted - so yes, let me know which way you're
going on this.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention - I'm learning how to use Windows.
Hope you were sat down when you read that, Tim :)

No, the rest of us just assumed it was Martyn's mind throwing a small

Martyn often makes more sense the further away from him you get.

Electronics isn't my field, but we have lots of people who are good at
it. I've got an ODB reader here (about size of a fag packet) which
some enterprising soul has stuck bluetooth on. So I've got telematics
(of a kind) on my laptop.

There's a point - your 4.6 would have ODB on it in the Range Rover
installation (probably). Wonder how much work it would be to
resurrect it?

BTW - I'm making a handheld terminal and a telemetry black box,
running, erm, Linux... Funny how the world turns.

Lots of things do. You probably think Tony Bliar is a decent bloke, for
example.

Warren still has the EFI that came off it - it's going back on it.
Therefore a few other bits from a scrappy sgould see most - if not all
of the original control elements ready in place.

I've just built a complete linux web, ftp, mail and news server all
onto one of these diddy little USB memory sticks measuring less than
an inch long. Any PC that can boot from USB can now become an
'Instant ISP" :)

What I really still don't like about Doze is the bloody interface :-(

so shall I bring mine or not?

Mind, I note that the MOT on Edward is out on the 10th, so that may put the
kibosh on things - I might have to come to the unofficial in something else
- I have, however, got the fast Ford back on the road. By 'eck, that car's
fun. I've missed it.

reverse is selected on the autobox - this then 'flips' the display to give a

now that's just showing off.
