hi does any body know of any easy green lanes near buxton derbys to break my green laning duck please, im also after any information on green lanes near flagg derbys please thank you squid

Before you get a load of abuse

First go to the introduction section and say hello.

Then come back here and talk to people on threads. Then they might invite you to go laning with them.

Or read the finding green lanes thread.

Folks on here wont share lanes with people they don't know

But welcome to the forum anyway :D

Listen to Sue and wait until someone approaches you with the secret handshake! ;) :)

Seriously, there is a very good thread at the top of this section on finding suitable lanes. Get yourself an OS map of the area that interests you
(Explorer 1:25, 000 is best) and look for lanes marked as BOAT (Byeway Open To All Traffic) and ORPA (other routes with public access) which are also known as UUCR's. These are probably legal to drive, but you need to verify that with your local Rights of Way (for BOATS) or High Department (for UUCR's)..

Additionally, sign up to Wayfinder and that is another good indicator. On the more popular lanes, people leave comments and these can be a good indication of how easy or difficult the lane is..That said, conditions on a lane can change quickly depending on the weather and traffic, so its best to go out with somebody else and also to walk any difficult sections on foot first..

well done chap. way to go, most newbies have spat their dummys out by now and done one. Stick with it, although no one will openly divulge lane information on a public forum there are plenty of folks on here who will gladly let you tag along on a trip local to you, look out for davesally on here they are always out and about lacally to you. Having just looked on trail wise i can confirm you are sat surrounded by at least 2 dozen lanes within a 7km radious of Flagg.
Welcome to the forum by the way:D
