Hi all,
A few weeks ago I fitted a replacement driver pack to the EAS on my P38 DT. This has cured the "pressure signal high" problem and stopped the car from standing at all sorts of strange angles. At the same time I fitted another pressure sensor as mine had been known to keep the pump running for far too long.
The day after fitting the above I drove a 300 mile round trip with no problems at all. I then left the car standing for about three days only to find it had lowered all four corners to the bump stops. It seemed to take ages to reinflate but raised and lowered itself with no problems after it had pumped up.
I sprayed the valve block connections with soapy water but found no evidence of leaks but I dont know how to check if the pressure sensor joint is leaking. Ive noticed that after leaving the car for a couple of days I can find it has lowered all four corners or sometimes just the rear end.
I didnt put any sealant on the pressure sensor joint when I fitted it. If that's necessary what should I use on the thread? What else should I be looking at to cure the problem?
