hi help

i have just rebuild my valve block and now it is dropping the front when i park the car

i think there is a leak in it :( but i cant find it

any ideas

For the valve block to cause both front bags to go down, three valves would need to leak at the same time. The L/H front valve (no colour code on feed tube to bag) the R/H front valve (green colour code on feed tube to bag) and the exhaust valve. Whilst that is possible it is unlikely. Think i would be looking for leaks from tubes to bags and block first.

is there ant known spots on the pipes where they break?

The R/H one sometimes rubs away under the battery box. Favourite are the O rings at each end. Push the pipes home into the O rings with pressure in the bags they usually go in just that bit further.

i have new airbag and o rings in the valve block an i have used soap water to seek leaks.

i have a leek in the valve block on the bottom of the valve block think i can hear it when i spray soap water over it ..

so it can be the R/H pipe and the L/H valve . is that possible ???

Yes that is possible i suppose.

better than now :(

So you are saying they went down BEFORE you did the valve block? Unless you have done something wrong in the valve block it is very unlikely to be that causing the problem as i said earlier. Does it go down to bump stops or just a little. Over how long. Does it rise straight away when engine is started? 15mm drop in 24 hours is acceptable. The ECU wakes up every 6 hours and self levels but no more than 8mm at each wake up, if you are parked on uneven ground. So in all you could have if front on uneven ground a drop of around 25mm and it would be normal.

it goes to bump stops in approx 2 hours max

and when i start the car it rises straight away:)

Then you have leak, either from air lines to bags, bags themselves. Airline to block or both front valves and exhaust valve which is highly unlikely. Unless you have done something wrong when you stripped block. You may have to strip it again and double check everything. Stretch springs on solenoid valves VERY slightly. Make sure the rubber valves in the ends of them are clean, a tiny bit of silicone grease will help them seat.

thanks mate i will check it all tomorrow an then see what is wrong :)

:)
i be back tomorrow with an fix:)

now i have rebuild it again with o rings from the local mate of mine .
they are a bit bigger and now i can level the car but i don´t know haw good it is . still small leaks her and there

i think when the weather gets better i will change all the air pipes and rebuilt the valve block and get new o rings made .

O rings seal by pressure. Were the air pressure forces them out against the sealing surface. O rings lose their nature with age and can leak because of this. It is not a good idea to fit O rings of a greater cross section than the standard fit. This can deform the mating surfaces of the components they seal. It is also very important NOT to overtighten the screws in the valve block this can also deform the mating surfaces. When you do your next rebuild (wait until the weather is not as cold) check each valve for flatness, gentle rub in a figure of eigth motion on a piece of 320 grit wet or dry paper placed on a piece of glass until all the sealing surface is flat. Fit standard O rings. Then gently nip screws up with a little locktight on the threads.

ok that i will do then :)

great to get the respond and i will try until it is air tight :) i pay approx 10£ fore a full set op o rings

thanks fore the advice Wammers:)
