So using the lead and the free EAS software I set all the heights with the engine running.

Issue:

When I unplug the lead from the car....it goes straight into EAS Fault.

I have to use Hawkeye to clear it....says something about a Datum something!!

Once cleared, car goes up and down ok, but front rides high in all heights, the rear looks ok.

I had a second go, reset all the heights, checked them all on the software (all 4 heights)...no faults when I pres the check faults button.

When I unplug, again EAS Fault!! Clear with Hawkeye....la la la

You get the idea!! What is going on?

When you disconnect the EASUnlock Software it has to be done in a certain way...not sure what it is Datatek will know, but if you don't switch things off in a certain order you will get the fault message!

Ahh that could be it!!!! I can clear the fault as I say, but suspect that is messing with the heights I have plugged in.

If not, we are looking at fitting new front sensors (as I swopped them to remove a FR sensor fault, which it did!!)

I shall await Datatek, and hear what's what!

Thanks

Rachel :)

Did i not advise you to download EAS unlock suite from RSW solutions before you got your lead from Keith and read through the instruction sheets that comes as a PDF file to familiarise. You would know how to disconnect properly if you had done that. Not a lot of point trying to guide people if they don't take any notice is there. :);)

I did download and read it. But must admit not today, Opps! Promised I will read it now.... Bad Rachel!!!

When you are done, click on the stop button on the RSW software, you may get the "slow 35mph message" then turn off the ignition, finally unplug the cable from the OBD socket. If you now turn on the ignition all should be OK if you have calibrated it correctly. Doing part of the job with the EAS software and then trying to finish it with Hawkeye is not a good idea. Use one piece of kit or the other, not a mixture.

Thanks hun. I will try again next weekend. I had to use Hawkeye to clear the fault as nothing else would do it. I have to admit, I closed the window on the software, and did not hit stop. So I was doing it wrong. Just reread the PDF and watched the video, neither of which say hit Stop! Groan!

Thanks again for your help.

On an upside the white block connectors in the footwell (one of which each side is EAS related) I inspected today, only one needed repair! Dancing front has stopped.
