Hi Guys,

Within a day of receiving my OBDII Cable from RSW Solutions LLC in the US my 2000 Vogue P38 went into "Eas Fault" mode! With the aid of the free EASUnlock software, I was able to determine the fault and unlock the EAS. I am not a mechanic but found the EASUnlock system easy to use and would recommend it to anyone.

Three weeks later (yesterday) the Rangie went into the "EAS Fault" mode and I again plugged my laptop in, determined the cause of the fault and unlocked the EAS. She is running well now, but I wonder if anyone can advise where to look to fix the fault?

The error message I get in the "read faults" window is: 2. "pressure signal consantly high"! Could it be anything to do with the "pressure switch" in the EAS? Look forward to some advice on this. Cheers, Tonys

Hi Eightinavee,

Thank you for your useful and prompt assistance. Hope it is a small "pack" - sounds expensive??

Regards, Tonys

Jesus does not love me, I am one of the "C" persons! I have just purchased the Drive Box from a US site, considerably more than from Ebay UK!

Thank you for the great advice that I unfortunately did not source in time.

I have nothing to say, but compliments for this forum with people like yourself, who will assist fellow members!

Cheers, Tonys

Try $1,200 AUD!!!!!!!!!!! 580 Pounds!! Cheers, Tonys:mad:
They really know how to charge that mob ! Have you tried Peter at West Coast Rovers - he has an account with a company who deal with Britpart,(Border Holdings) in the UK - they should be able to supply stuff like that at a much more realistic price.

Don't be too quick to part with your cash. The golden rule with EAS is that almost every problem starts with a leak.
8 times out of 10 the pressure switch fault is registered for a leak or a worn compressor. Its almost never a pressure switch fault and the driver pack, while a definite possibilty when leaks are ruled out, does not go all that often.
The EAS ECU has a time that it expects the compressor to run for. If you have a bad leak or a worn compressor the compressor runs for longer than this time and the ECU registers the fault as 'pressure switch not changing state'. The driver pack failure normally has some other symtoms like the 'dancing at traffic lights' and such.
Now maybe in your case it is the driver pack but you really should check for leaks and/or worn compressor (which a bad leak will invariably bring about if left untended) before jumping to the conclusion that it is the (expensive!)driver pack.

Just my penny's worth but check out black box solutions website under the EAS kicker heading where they give a likely cause for each of the fault codes for the EAS. The free sofware you have just puts slightly different english on the codes but they are the same and it is important to read before spending your way out of a problem in possibly the wrong direction.

Hi chaps, I think this is now an ALLMAKES product and should be available easily from the UK for export.

Try p38spares or island4x4

When you check for leaks select position2 with your lead in and switch pump on with your computer, you can then listen for leaks without engine noise.
While pump is running spray all air line connections with mild soap solution and wiggle connections look for bubbles. dont forget to raise car to full height and do the same for the airbag conections
