Hi all does the eas need a tank/cylinder to work, I am going to operate it manually. Ie seperate 12v to pump and valves ?

yes. the compressor charges the tank (receiver) otherwise the compressor will be working to inflate all airbags at once which will take additional time

As above needs tank...trying to do it straight from a compressor will knacker it out and take an age to inflate the system!

That's the stupidest idea I've heard for a long time. Apart from safety issues, the valves will burn if you put 12 volts on them for any length of time.

Maybe he's talking about emergency valves in case the system fails? They go straight to the bags without going through the valve block. Need to be careful inflating them though: 10 - 20psi per corner at a time and I don't think you need much above 70PSI to get the lot up, IIRC.
