I had recently posted that I had fitted the EAS pump seal kit off the dutch guys on eBay, and replaced the anti vibration mounts with new ones. I suspected the new mounts had caused vibration in the bodywork, so fitted the old mounts. However the vibration is still there. SpudH suggested that is could be mis-alignment of the new piston cylinder that comes with the kit. So I dismantled the pump plates where the cylinder sits. I turned the cylinder through 180 degrees (radially) and assembled the pump again (10 minute job). Glad to report the vibrations now very much reduced, only slightly noticeable when stopped with stereo off. Very happy :), now only if I could do the same thing with the noisey ABS pump  fat chance ....

To be honest can't see what turning a symetrical cylinder around 180 would achieve. But hey ho there you go.

You're right, it may not have made any difference at all (it shouldn't do!) although I did notice the piston seal was rubbing the cylinder on one side more than the other, even though it was fully seated on the o-ring. But maybe that was due to the 'tilting' action of the piston.... anyway it's cured...
