Afternoon all!!

Since having my tyre changed on the back left the car has dropped to the ground twice. On both occassions i have left it over night and in the morning used the AllComms to clear the fault and its gone back up. (if i try to clear the fault straight away i get the Pressure static when filling fault).

Ive had a good rummage through the forum and I found an excellent post:
L322 Static when filling - Pressure drops when filling - DO NOT ............... - Land Rover Zone
RS2000CUSTOM has opened my eyes here and I am pretty sure I have a fault with my Valve Block.

So I am here today to see if you agree before i spend lots of money on a new one.

I think the tyre change may have just been a coincidence that it happened on the same day.

The issue...
Air Susp Inactive message ---- Plug into AllComms ---- Fault shows as Static pressure when filling.

Leave the car over night (possibly for everything to cool down?) then in the morning I clear the fault and leave the car running for about 10 minutes with the drivers door open. I adjust the height with the dash control and up it all comes to the normal level.

Im thinking that maybe the piston inside the valve block is getting stuck open allowing the air to flow freely wefore the tank fills. If it were a damaged seal it would not fix itself over night???

Any suggestions?

I've had the pipe off the t piece in the boot and there's a good amount of air coming from there. I have ordered a new piston ring anyhoooo just to replace it and then I can eliminate that as well.

I'm wondering if there's a valve block repairs kit available from somewhere and then I can replace all the seals and grease the pistons.

Not that I have heard of, but I am fairly sure if you take the valve block apart and get all the O rings to a decent Hydraulic/Pneumatic supplier, they should be able to measure them and supply replacements!

This is true. I'm tempted to get a second hand unit from a breakers and play with that one or rebuild it rather than take mine off. If it goes wrong ill be without the car and I need it.

Going to call my local dealer Monday and get a quote on a replacement. I won't be buying one but would like to know the price. In guessing 250 plus.

I'd probably say take that guess and double it!

Its not just one corner its the whole rear end. The compressor is giving out good pressure although ive not put a gauge on it but I'll be changing the piston seal anyway.

If it were the exhaust valve would I be able to hear it letting off?

I'll def be looking to repair the unit rather than buy a new one if they are getting on for £400 quid!!

I bought one about APRIL/MAY time nearly sure they call the company parrotts of matlock compressor+relay £230+vat and you keep your old one, there is also a bloke on fleabay who sells the compleat repair kit for £150 hope this helps.

when you had the tyre changed can you recall there jacking up procedure ie where did they place the jack etc you are supposed to select low range, and close the door, lock if you wish, but hit the lock button twice so as to disable the tilt mechanism. page 235 of the owners handbook

Just spoke to my local dealer. The valve block is £449 inc VAT so ill deffo be looking to repair it.

As for the jacking up the put the car into its offroad / Highest position and the jacked under the seal at the jacking point. I did say I'd get the manual out but they assured me this was the right way to do it. I didn't think it looked right at all.

All that said though I'm sure it wasn't actually to do with them as it looks likei have a sticky valve in the valve block. Ive had the suspension hold button pressed in for a few days now and it's been fine. Not dropped at all so there's no leaks there and now and then I make it go up and down manually so the pump is supplying enough air to the tank.
