Hello again,

i think my EAS is behaving odd,

I've looked around on here but not found the answer,

when i park the Rangie, (doesn't matter if the EAS hold height button is pressed or not) when i return to the Car its lifted its self to wading height, is this normal? don't think it is! how can i stop it? it does it most of the time.

cheers.

Think its an ECU fault get it plugged in to testbook me thinks but try setting it on the access ie down on the stops and see what happens then

good luck m8

Are you getting any fault messages??

-Wills :)

only fault code is pressure switch, not the problem though.

takes a good 5 mins to finish moving to access mode, does that help?

My EAS seems to settle into the access level when I stop but not always! When I first use the car in the morning it lifts from a lower than standard position. I assume that is beause there is a slight leak. It moves through positions fine using the button and the motorway position shows at higher speeds.

I'm hoping that the intermittent settling into access level is not the start of a more major problem!

Just jad an issue with the EAS on mine. It tended to move up to wading height when if felt like it, eventually came up with EAS fault although the suspension still raised to normal height when started. The fault code showed an over pressure fault, managed to reset it, but it has started to move up to wading height again when it gets bored of its normal height, new pressure sensor needed and hopefully thats it, not untill the EAS fault comes back again though.

i'm told that the eas always comes up with pressure fault, i've try'd a new one but no joy! still have the 'fault'......good luck!

That being the case, how can it be reset? Have you had the pressure sensor/transducer replaced?

yea, i now have to keep having it reset when it spits its dummy out. i've searched this place for the answer and can't find it, LR can' fix it and my independent has seen it before, that P38 is now on springs!

Did you get this checked out?

i think you will find this is a hight sensor problem but instead of renewing them you can swap them side to side, internally only half the resistance track its used, swapng it to the other side swings the pickup to the unused part of the track (think of it as a radio volum control only ever turned up to half volume) this apparently works fine unless you can get them at a reasonable price of course!. may be worth a try, get it reset/calibrated and see if it helps.....
