hi, I'm also having problems with my EAS

I have bought lead and software from ebay but i cant get it to sync with car, just getting the 28, 80 in rx box.

Does anyone have any sugestions

Thanks

If you're using a USB to Serial adaptor then you probably need to set the COM port number. On XP it seems to change every time you boot the machine (well it does on mine) so it's worth checking before you start the software. Are you getting an error relating to this when you start the software?

Have a look in Device manager -> Ports. The USB to serial adaptor ought to be fairly obvious and the COM port number should be displayed.

Start the software and change the COM port setting. Can't remember how off the top of my head as I'm at work, but it's quite obvious.

One of the videos P38a EAS Unlock Videos here should help.

82 miles in her today everything seems 100% with eas but have her booked into be plugged in and see if there is/was a fault, with local indy on wednesday.....fingers crossed

Seems a bit odd that it's fixed itself - usually when it goes into fault mode it needs to be reset.

Still, fingers crossed...

there are a few good lads down your direction.if you start a new thread on this problem it is more likely to be picked up.at the moment you are buried in this one and more people would see a new thread looking for diagnostic help.try to contact gavbriggs if you can,as he is the computer whizzkid.you will get plenty of help on this site.best of luck
