97 DSE manual which is running fine. Problem is it used to occasionally raise itself up to off road setting but would lower. Over the last month this has happened and thrown up F9 132- 2 pressure signal constantly high giving the christmas light effect on the EAS switch. No other faults and all level sensors are clean. I have cleaned the ECU contacts under the seat, the connectors in the left side panel and all EAS box connectors. It did it today so I plugged it in then watched it and double checked everything. Compressor sucking at intake, no white residue in exhaust or valve block. I watched as the car rose 1/2" then fell 1/2". The compressor tripped in for 30 seconds to raise it the the cycle started again. Cleared it using EAS unlock and OK but it has been doing this for about a week. Am I looking at a fault in the compressor, drivers pack or valve block? I will sit overnight in normal mode and fall about 1/2" overnight but pick itself up instantly in the morning. Same after a 2 day park. I just don't want to waste time and money on bits it doesn't need.
Thanks in advance gents.

You need to check pressure switch on valve block. Maybe it's not knocking on and off as it should do. Not compressor that is activated by the ECU via pin 8. It will only come on when told to, driver pack has nothing to do with compressor. As for car going up and down. Driver pack will do funny things if it is faulty. Only way is to change it, normally it's just a slave of the ECU but gets a mind of it's own sometimes. Best thing would be to borrow a known good one and see what you get. £160.00 on a whim is a lot of money if yours has nothing wrong with it.

Take the exhaust filter off the valve block and look for white deposits which would indicate a valve block gummed up with dessicant from the dryer breaking up.
A dodgy height sensor will also cause the problem.

The money is the issue. I don't want to waste good money and not cure it. I don't think it is height sensor as it sits square and the readings are the same as suggested for heights. First thing I lokked at was the exhaust filter. Clean as a whistle.

Going to bite the bullet. I will get the refurb kit for the valve block and compressor and I will order the drivers pack from island 4x4.

Just plugged it into Easunlock and the results are front sensors always within a mm or two of one another but rear right reads 5 mm lower than rear left. It goes up and down with the calibration commands and sits level in access, low, normal and high. I am thinking of replacing the drivers pack and reconning the compressor and valve block. I will replace the dessicant if the block looks contaminated but the exhaust looks clean.

Me too, ovehauled my valve block ready for the trip, lots of white stuff in there although no symptoms of trouble. Diaphragm was on it's last legs though. Also replaced the inlet filter and exhaust silencer:D

Coming home for a bit then mate. Suggest you replace the screen wipers if you're staying any length of time. :D:D:D

:hysterically_laughi Already done. First visit for over 2 years, staying 10 days, more than long enough:rolleyes:

Have good trip then mate. May nip back to Spain again just after crimbo i feel better there, this bloody hole gets more depressing every day. ;);)

Know what you mean, if it wasn't for the kids/grandkids I woudn't go back to the yUK at all. They all came to me last year as I married my French Lady:D:D:D

Valve block done and no white residue found. New drivers pack, diaphragm fitted and compressor overhauled. Watch this space.
It got a new drier aswell but I forgot that.
